For decades, we've been dedicated to supplying and building high-quality sheds for Perth and across regional Western Australia. We launched roys.au to better support our valued Roys Sheds customers, as well as DIY builders and contractors across Australia.
Our new store provides fast, direct-to-you access to the essential, high-quality shed components you need, when you need them. This includes a full range of flashings, purlins, sheeting, brackets, whirlybirds, fasteners, and more, all with the Roys guarantee of quality and a focus on fast turnaround times.
Our History: From Fabrication to WA's Trusted Shed Supplier
Our family's journey in the steel industry began in 1970 when Roy Vlietstra founded Roys Steel, a steel fabrication and construction business.
As the company was passed down to the 2nd and 3rd generations, our focus sharpened. We evolved into a specialist shed building contractor, gaining invaluable, hands-on experience from building countless different types of sheds. We used this practical knowledge to start designing our own structures and even developed our own in-house 3D shed software.
In 2014, we began trading as Roys Sheds, and by 2015, we were supplying our complete shed kits as well as building them. Since then, we have proudly supplied and built sheds from our own backyard in Banjup (Perth) to as far as Newman, WA.

Our core goal has never changed: to make and supply shed kits and components that are structurally sound and easier to assemble.
We do this by taking part in the whole process: design, engineering, manufacture and supply. - Registered Building Contractor (#101219): Roys Sheds has gone through the process of becoming a registered builder to uphold the standards set by the Building Commission of Australia. This allows us to offer expert advice for your projects.
- Member of Engineers Australia: We are currently a member of the Institution of Engineers Australia and are pursuing our chartership.
